1989-1991, MBA students rank Darden #1 in Student Satisfaction year after year
The reason for this in my mind is the commitment to the Case Study Method, performed by great teachers - or academic stage performers. The Case Method brings students closer together and create tight relations between students and faculty. Together they create the learning environment (class contribution counts heavily towards your final grade). The Case Method makes the learning practical and connects theory with the real world. Darden faculty get more input from practical consulting and case writing than theoretical research and bring their experience and relations from the outside world into the classroom. Add to this a very tough work load and you create an environment that forces cooperation and strengthens the community feeling, accelerate learning and personal growth and in the end produce great Student Satisfaction.
1990-1992, Demanding Atmosphere That Makes You Better In Every Way
Darden's case study method combines theory with real world applications. It's program has that rare combination of being thorough, highly demanding and expecting of excellence, while maintaining a constructive, cooperative and positive attitude. You get ahead by doing well and helping others to do well. The student body is made up of high quality people from many parts of the globe and many different walks of life, where you make new friends for life. Your surroundings cause you to raise your game and make yourself better than you thought you could be. It's not all work and no play; there is a positive attitude toward fun and life outside of studies.
2013-2015, World class program for getting your MBA
Going to Darden is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm honored to be a part of the community. I love the case method and engaging with the absolute best faculty around. For me and thousands of others, Darden is a game changer and continues to open doors I never thought possible. Greateful for the experience.
